Somebody forgot to tell us.
Because while people are still debating whether Cannabis consumers are “unproductive,” Asha is running a waxing business, teaching yoga, launching wellness events and raising a seven-year-old with the personality of someone twice her age.
Ayanna is guiding a teenager through life after CXC, developing a Cannabis-infused body-care brand, running multiple businesses and building the next chapter of Ladies Of 420.
And somehow, between all of that, we’re still finding time to consume Cannabis, enjoy our lives and have a good time.
So let’s have a conversation.
Because maybe the problem isn’t Cannabis.
Maybe the problem is that we’ve been given a very narrow definition of what productive is supposed to look like.
PRODUCTIVE… OR JUST HIGH?
For generations, Cannabis consumers have been reduced to one tired stereotype.
The couch.
The snacks.
The red eyes.
The “I was supposed to do something today, but…” jokes.
And yes, sometimes you really are supposed to do something and somehow end up watching three hours of television instead.
We’re not going to pretend otherwise.
But here’s the part people conveniently leave out:
Cannabis consumers are also entrepreneurs, parents, executives, creatives, athletes, artists, teachers, professionals and community builders.
People consume Cannabis and go to work.
They consume Cannabis and create.
They consume Cannabis and exercise.
They consume Cannabis and parent.
They consume Cannabis and build businesses.
They consume Cannabis and live full, complicated, ambitious lives.
Cannabis doesn’t come with one personality.
And it certainly doesn’t come with a productivity limit.
At Ladies Of 420, we’re interested in showing you what that actually looks like.
And August?
August is looking very busy.
ASHA: WAX BY DAY. YOGA BY NIGHT.
Let’s talk about Asha.
During the day, she’s building Pretty Kitty, her waxing business.
She’s working with clients, running the business and doing what entrepreneurs do every single day: making things happen.
Then the workday ends.
Asha becomes The Yogi.
She has been steadily carving out her own space within Trinidad’s yoga community, teaching classes at Beyond Yoga and working privately with clients.
And she’s not simply teaching poses.
She’s creating an environment around wellness that feels like her.
Which brings us to her latest creation:
STRETCH & SIP.
Because Asha looked at the wellness industry and asked:
“Where is the fun?”
Stretch & Sip was created from her love for movement, wellness, connection and having a vibrant social life.
The first event proved that the idea had real potential.
People from different backgrounds walked into the room as strangers.
They stretched together.
They laughed.
They ate.
They sipped.
They connected.
And they left having made new friendships.
That’s more than an event.
That’s community.
STRETCH & SIP: ROUND TWO
On 23rd August, Stretch & Sip returns with Yoga & Brunch at The Lure in Chaguaramas.
And this time, we’re making it bigger.
Instead of two classes of 25, Asha is bringing everyone together for one 60-minute flow for 50 people.
One room.
One collective energy.
One beautiful flow.
And then?
Brunch.
And yes, before you ask:
Unlimited sparkling wine.
Because we firmly believe that wellness and enjoyment are not opposites.
You can take care of your body and still enjoy a glass.
You can practice yoga and then enjoy brunch with friends.
You can be intentional about your wellbeing without turning your life into a punishment.
Wellness can have personality.

WHILE ASHA IS STRETCHING, AYANNA IS BUILDING LUMEN.
Then there’s Ayanna.
If you’ve been following the Ladies Of 420 journey, you already know she doesn’t spend much time sitting still.
For years, she’s been researching, experimenting and developing her ideas around Cannabis-infused body care.
And now that work has a name:
LUMEN.
Lumen is a Cannabis-infused body oil and the first product in what Ayanna envisions as a larger line of infused body-care products.
But Lumen didn’t appear overnight.
There were years of testing.
Research.
Formulation.
Adjustments.
Starting again.
Questioning everything.
And then doing it all over.
Because creating a product you believe in isn’t simply about putting something in a bottle and designing a beautiful label.
It’s about figuring out exactly what you want your product to be.
And exactly what you want your brand to represent.
Lumen is Ayanna stepping into the body-care industry one intentional step at a time.
And she’s starting right here in Trinidad.

WHY CANNABIS & BODY CARE?
Ayanna has been fascinated by the relationship between Cannabis and the body for years.
Our bodies have an endocannabinoid system, and the relationship between Cannabis and that system has opened up fascinating conversations around wellness, balance and body care.
For Ayanna, that curiosity naturally led to the question:
What could Cannabis-infused body care look like when it’s done intentionally?
Lumen is her first answer.
It’s not about putting Cannabis on a label because Cannabis is trending.
It’s about exploring what happens when Cannabis becomes part of a thoughtfully developed body-care experience.
And there’s more coming.
MOTHERHOOD DOESN’T TAKE THE DAY OFF EITHER.
Of course, none of this happens in a vacuum.
While the businesses are growing, the children are growing too.
Asha is raising a seven-year-old who seems to have arrived with a fully developed personality and an advanced understanding of teenage attitude.
Meanwhile, Ayanna is navigating one of those major parenting transitions: guiding a teenager through life after CXC and into whatever comes next.
There are conversations.
Questions.
Advice.
Boundaries.
Independence.
And probably a healthy dose of:
“I literally just told you that.”
That’s motherhood.
And it’s happening alongside everything else.
Because women don’t magically stop being mothers when they start building businesses.
We don’t stop being daughters, sisters, friends or partners either.
We simply learn how to carry more.
And sometimes, Cannabis is part of how we slow down enough to breathe.
AUGUST 30: WE’RE NOT DONE YET.
Because apparently, running multiple businesses, raising children, teaching yoga and developing products wasn’t enough.
Ladies Of 420 is heading to Rock Back On The Bay in Chaguaramas on 30th August as we team up with Reggae Brunch.
But we’re not just attending.
We’re bringing Ladies Of 420 with us.
A dedicated Ladies Of 420 section within Reggae Brunch.
And if you’ve ever experienced one of our events, you already know:
We don’t do ordinary.
We do elevated.
We do community.
We do beautiful spaces.
We do good food.
We do connection.
We do Cannabis culture.
And we do a great time.
Our section will be designed for the Cannabis community to come together, relax, connect and enjoy the experience in true Ladies Of 420 style.
So yes, you can expect the energy.
And you can definitely expect us to add our own touch.
SO… ARE WE PRODUCTIVE?
Let’s ask the question differently.
Are we productive according to somebody else’s definition?
Maybe not.
Maybe we’re not interested in glorifying 16-hour workdays.
Maybe we’re not measuring our worth by how exhausted we are at the end of the day.
Maybe we’re learning that productivity can also mean creating something meaningful.
Raising a child.
Building a business.
Teaching someone to breathe.
Bringing strangers together.
Creating a product.
Building community.
Resting.
Laughing.
Living.
That’s productivity too.
And Cannabis doesn’t erase any of it.
WE’RE NOT HERE TO PROVE ANYTHING.
We’re not trying to convince anyone that Cannabis is for everybody.
It isn’t.
We’re not trying to pretend that Cannabis affects everyone in exactly the same way.
It doesn’t.
We’re simply challenging the lazy assumption that every person who consumes Cannabis must therefore be lazy.
Because our lives tell a different story.
Asha is waxing.
Teaching.
Parenting.
Creating.
Building.
Ayanna is parenting.
Researching.
Developing.
Launching.
Creating.
And together we’re still growing Ladies Of 420.
Still creating spaces.
Still bringing people together.
Still pushing conversations forward.
Still enjoying Cannabis.
Still enjoying life.
Because Cannabis is part of our lifestyle.
It isn’t the limit of our lifestyle.
So, to the people still wondering what Cannabis consumers actually do all day…
Well.
We’re high.
We’re busy.
We’re booked.
We’re building.
